Shame about the cymbals

I bought this kit for a gig, just for it's fabulous price. However, once I opened the box it became strikingly apparent that the cymbals weren't 'gigable' quality and the hardware was just passable. For the price, the kit would be great for a beginner. The saving grace was that the bass drum/toms were great to be honest and I still use them now for my resident gig. If you're a gigging musician then look elsewhere. If you're a parent then this would be a first timer's kit, fabulous price and sturdy enough for a kid just starting out. As they progress change the cymbals, snare and then hardware ( in that order ).

Brilliant starter kit (though not technically a starter) for those looking for something a tad smaller. Well put together, good finish and build, reasonable sound with careful tuning. Only thing that lets the set down are the dodgy cymbals, sounding more like gongs, but then what do you expect for less than 250 quid?

Child's Christmas Present

Bought as a Christmas present for my son who is learning drums. His teacher recommended it particularly for the smaller kick drum. It's definitely a nice small kit for a child to learn on.
